Radisson Blu,
one of the world’s leading hotel brands, announces the opening of
two
Radisson Blu beach resorts in Mauritius: the Radisson Blu Azuri Resort
& Spa, Mauritius and the Radisson Blu Poste Lafayette Resort &
Spa, Mauritius.
Operated by
The Rezidor Hotel Group, the two resorts
are situated on the north-eastern coast of Mauritius, one of the most attractive resort destinations in the Indian Ocean.
“These
openings mark an important milestone for Radisson Blu as we continue to
expand our
global presence and deliver iconic hotels and world class hospitality
experiences across Africa and now the Indian Ocean for our guests,” said
Marc Descrozaille, Area Vice President Sub-Saharan Africa for The
Rezidor Hotel Group. “We are delighted to add two
beautiful resorts to Radisson Blu portfolio and look forward to
welcoming our international guests to Mauritius.”
Set on a serene beach on the edge of the village of Azuri, the
Radisson Blu Azuri Resort & Spa
is a family
friendly resort with 160 rooms and suites featuring floor-to-ceiling
windows with views out over the gardens or the ocean. The resort’s
spacious long-term option includes 60 suites, townhouses and penthouses
providing an extensive living and dining area with
a fully equipped kitchen.
Activities
at the resort include a full range of water sports from snorkelling,
kayaking, windsurfing, pedal
boats and a glass-bottom boat along with four tennis courts and beach
volleyball. Annexed to the fitness centre, the resort’s 300m² spa
provides a wide range of professional treatments. Dining options feature
a casual all-day dining outlet, Le Comptoir,
and the popular L’Azuli a la carte restaurant,
which is known for serving the freshest seafood cuisine in an elegant and relaxing setting.
Radisson Blu Poste Lafayette Resort & Spa Mauritius
is an adults-only resort. The minimalist styled guest rooms are set
amidst manicured gardens and provide uninterrupted views of the garden,
mountains or the ocean. All rooms feature floor-to-ceiling glass with
large sliding doors to a small terrace or a Juliette
balcony. Guests can choose to relax in the spa with its holistic
experiences and relaxing journeys, or take part in recreational
activities such as beach volleyball, beach badminton, bocce balls and
darts. The resort’s turquoise lagoon is suitable for snorkelling,
kayaking, glass-bottom boat and pedal boats.
“With
its endless sandy beaches, moderate climate and lush greenery,
Mauritius is a perennial
favourite for holiday makers from around the world and we are excited
to be part of this community,” said Alfio Bernardini, cluster General
Manager
the Radisson Blu Azuri Resort & Spa, Mauritius and the Radisson Blu Poste Lafayette Resort & Spa, Mauritius.
“Both resorts offer a world-class
experience on this beautiful island, now wrapped in our signature Yes I
Can! service that Radisson Blu is known for worldwide. I am honored to
open these two resorts and look forward to creating several
unforgettable bright spots for families and couples.”
